Filter Cartridge - Replacement Filter Cartridge for Coleco F-120 5 Sq. Ft. Intex 'A'

This is a Unicel replacement filter cartridge for a Coleco Intex ' A "- F-120 5 sq. ft. pool filter. The filter tank that houses this replacement cartridge holds (1) 5 sq. ft. cartridge. The Original Equipment Manufacturer Number (OEM) is located on the cartridge if the cartridge has not been replaced previously. The OEM number for this filter cartridge is 58600, 59900 or F18, Type "A". You can reference the OEM number below in the table to be sure you are purchasing the correct replacement. If the cartridge has been replaced already then you may be looking at a Unicel, Filbur or a Pleatco number. The Unicel product number for this cartridge is C-4607, the Filbur product number is FC-3710, and the Pleatco product number is PC7-120. Even though your cartridge may be something other than the Unicel replacement that you will be purchasing from Pacifica Pool Supplies, rest assured you are getting the correct cartridge. Swimming pool filter cartridges are used to filter swimming pool water by collecting debris, algae, oils and other contaminants and filtering them out of the pool water. Cartridge filters have a much larger filtering area due to their design and construction. The pleats on a cartridge allow the filter to run at a lower pressure. As a result, the back pressure on your pool and spa pump is reduced thereby increasing the lifespan of your equipment. A pleated cartridge can trap debris as small as 10 to 15 micron (not visible to the human eye). This method of filtration has been increasingly popular due to lower maintenance in comparison to sand and D.E. pool filters. There is no diatomaceous earth (D.E. - white powder substance) to deal with and the cleaning of the filter cartridge is much simpler.
